These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Detroit Property Passport ("we," "us," "our") and the reports, reviews, and related services we provide (the "Service"). By creating an account, submitting a property, or paying for a Property Passport, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference.
The Service consists of an administrative review of public, third-party, and customer-provided records related to a rental property you submit, delivered to you as a Property Passport report, along with optional annual renewal reviews and optional add-on services described on our site. The Service does not include legal, tax, accounting, title, or property-management services, except where we've separately and specifically agreed in writing to perform a defined add-on task on your behalf.
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and each property you submit, and to keep that information reasonably up to date.
The initial Property Passport review and the annual renewal review are each billed at the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase. Prices may change for future purchases or renewals; we'll show the current price before you pay. Any add-on service has its own fee, which is disclosed to and agreed with you before that work begins. Fees are generally non-refundable once the corresponding review or work has been completed, except as required by law or as we otherwise agree in writing.
You agree to provide accurate information during intake, to review your Property Passport and any documents prepared for you before relying on or signing them, and to seek independent professional advice for legal, tax, accounting, or title matters specific to your situation. You remain responsible for your own filings and deadlines even where we help identify or prepare related documentation.
Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, or property-management relationship between you and Detroit Property Passport. See our Disclaimer for the full scope of what the Service does and does not include.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Detroit Property Passport will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific review or service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, ask you to re-acknowledge the current Terms before your next review or payment. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
You may stop using the Service, or ask us to close your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a customer who violates these Terms or misuses the Service.
